Our employees are required to participate in initial and ongoing restoration training in San Diego.

To provide the best service and support to our Banker’s Hill customers, SERVPRO® of Centre City/Uptown requires all of our employees to participate in various training courses and programs.

Our technicians are trained and certified by the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC), the nonprofit certifying body for the cleaning and restoration industry. They study IICRC standards and best practices in water restoration, fire restoration, mold remediation, carpet and upholstery cleaning, and other cleaning and restoration courses.

Training Program Descriptions

Employee Certification Training

This voluntary program is self-paced and allows SERVPRO franchise employees to attain specialized training and certification in the following modules after completing the course materials and an examination:

• Crew Training
• Fire Restoration
• Water Restoration
• Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning

Initial, e-Learnings, and Continuing Education Classes

Initial training is a 15-day intensive held at the SERVPRO Corporate Training Facility. This is the basis for all SERVPRO training and covers many restoration topics, including:

• Crew Training
• Fire Restoration
• Water Restoration
• Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning

Ongoing education and e-learnings happen through web-based training. This is a voluntary program that keeps our office staff and technicians up-to-speed on industry standards, allowing us to provide the high-quality service and support our residential and commercial business customers expect.
